North and East are separated by Zaanenstraat. This central point will take you to the State Street Road, which is on the west side of the BUILDINGS. This road is very long and here you will find a lot of different nice SHOPS, supermarkets, SCHOOLS, restaurants and CHURCHES. From here you can easily leave in the direction of neighboring towns; Velserbroek, Spaarndam, Halfweg and AMSTERDAM.
The neighborhood itself is located on the Spaarne, where a boat will take you to the MOOIE NEL within 10 minutes of sailing. A large lake where, especially in summer, there is a lot of swimming and boating. On the other side of the SPAARNE you end up in the WAARDERPOLDER. A good number of companies are located there. Perhaps then you can live close to work, if you want.
There was a lot of BUILDING and DEVELOPMENT here in 2020. Many NEW homes have been added and that has made the neighborhood very POPULAR. It’s a neighborhood with a lot of different HOUSES. There are single-family homes, condominiums, and HOUSES-AROUND-THE-WATER. That sounds crazy in a city like Haarlem. But it’s REALLY TRUE! These houses are not so old and have a small quay at the house where the residents can moor their BOOT.
